The match was a pretty big deal. And understandably so –  two nations with a ton of history locked horns. It was a showdown worth watching. After Pakistan’s victory, Pakistanis celebrated all over the country, while Indians were seen to be pretty upset.

However, Archana Mohan from India felt a little differently and she summarized her thoughts in this open letter to Pakistan

While it’s great to have a certain level of rivalry, we must ensure we don’t go overboard. It is truly heartening to see that people like Archana exist and speak up, planting seeds of hope for the fact that maybe, just maybe, hum sab sar phiray nahi hain. We hope the tension eventually dissipates to a point where an India vs Pakistan match can be enjoyed without distasteful comments from either side.
