Hira Mani's Aik Chutki Sindoor Has Managed To Trigger All The Trolls

By Arslan Athar | 30 Jan, 2019

It is the job description of a celebrity to be part of photo shoots that require a particular look. These looks can be traditional or over the top, you can never tell. These looks are created to go with the feel of a shoot or to really send across a certain message to those seeing it. Nowadays, it seems like no matter what the photo shoot is about, people get riled up about the way a celebrity is dressed.

Hira Mani is the most recent celebrity to become victim to the easily triggered awaam.

The actress posted a picture to Instagram recently, where she was wearing a bindi on her forehead. Ever since she’s posted the picture, she has been getting bombarded with some really awful comments.

Some comments were disappointed with her.

You know what, she could have rocked a mangal sutra, sigh.

Authorities on what is right and wrong had clearly descended on the comments section.

‘Development’ was condemned.

Literally, ALL she’s doing is wearing a bindi and sindoor. That. Is. All.

Ab aisa bhi nahin tha ke she didn’t get compliments.

It was also really pleasing to see some people fighting back and supporting Hira Mani.

This comment openly laughs about this trolling culture, and I love it.

This isn’t the first time someone’s worn a bindi and ‘offended’ everyone. Hina Altaf did the same during diwali and even her faith and her Islam was called into question. It is honestly sad how people have taken the mantle of policing everyone else’s faith but their own. Faith is a personal thing, it’s your own unique connection to God, no one has the right to question it or judge it.
