Indian ‘journalist’ Soumyadipta Banerjee’s love letter to Fawad Khan has created quite a bit of stir. No one can deny how much Fawad Khan has been showered with praise and appreciation for what he’s doing in India. He is featuring in big releases, endorsing a plethora of brands and he’s even rumored to be replacing some of the biggest Khans of Bollywood in movies.
After the open letter angered quite a few Pakistanis, and even Indians, this is what the Indian social media had to say in response to the infuriating letter:
1. Like this level headed person who knows acts like this only stir fire and never solve anything
Boycotting @_fawadakhan_ is stupid idea for justice against #uriattacks Last thing we need is to politicize Art!https://t.co/gtAjvUREB9
— Deepti Lad (@DeeptiLad) September 21, 2016
2. And this one agreed
Asking Fawad Khan to go back to Pak or calling for a boycott of ADHM is not going to solve any problems but will surely trivialise the issue
— Urban Sanskaari (@RohanDasgupta) September 21, 2016
3. A history lesson is in order for people on both sides of the border
Shocked to see how this writer could single out an actor for #UriAttacks. It's time you start learning history . https://t.co/OLJuzQzxkb

4. But this guy was not having it
I think all the fangirls should remove the wallpaper of Atif & Fawad khan from their cellphones now
— Singha (@heisenjit) September 21, 2016
5. And this guy had questions for Salman Khan
@BeingSalmanKhan
On 17th Sep I heard of Uri Attacks
&
On 19th I heard of ur new movie cast Including Fawad Khan.. Grt Sir.. But unexpected— Pradeep Chhatani (@pradeepchhatani) September 21, 2016
6. This guy who thinks the ‘open letter’ is a competition to Arnab Goswami
You might find Arnab similar to hate mongering, screeching “journalists” on Pakistani TV.
7. This Fawad Khan convert will watch anything just for a glimpse of Fawad
8. And this one was reminiscing about past Fawad Khan movies
While I was watching Kapoor and sons,my concentration was only on Fawad Khan
— Reshma T Rajith (@FeistyGoddes) September 21, 2016
9. This one had a zinger of a response to all those saying India was ‘charitable’ in giving Fawad a chance
If Fawad Khan is working in India on a valid visa then that is it. You are not doing any upkar on him. He is working and getting paid.
— Curry Ninda (@brumbyOz) September 21, 2016
10. And this one doesn’t want Fawad to leave India
NO ONE WANTS Fawad Khan to leave India! NO ONE. He stays. Jesus christ, you stop paying attention for a second and everything goes nuts. https://t.co/JpG3mDCIB7
— Aishwarya S (@Hyper_aice) September 21, 2016
11. This guy thinks about the practicality of banning Fawad in Bollywood
12. Fake Virender Sehwag has a clap back for this guy who feels for struggling Indians whose rozi roti Fawad has apparently stolen.
@Amit_smiling you mean tushar kapoor and Dino morya are better?
— Virender Sehwag (@virender_swag) September 20, 2016
Fake because this is a parody account.
13. This poor fellow’s trying to find some logic in all of this
14. This one is just happy Fawad is the top trend on Facebook in India
#FawadKhan Trending on Facebook 🙂 pic.twitter.com/ueHWieQuOm
— Isha Khanna (@KhannaKhanna3) September 21, 2016
15. And finally, this is what a true fan responds like
#FawadKhan forever.❤?
Haters keep hating.?

It is time that we, on both sides of the border worry more about the important things, like Brangelina’s divorce, and not make a joke out of possible nuclear war because that is not going to benefit anyone.
