Pakistanis Are Trolling Bakhtawar Zardari For Claiming That Sindh Has 50 Functional Dams

By Maham Lari | 14 Sep, 2018

For some time now, we’ve been hearing several conversations around the water crisis in Pakistan and dams that need to be built in order to prevent it.

Chief Justice Pakistan has been actively involved in raising funds for building the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams. The Supreme Court appealed to the general public, including Pakistanis residing abroad, to donate for the cause. The entire conversation around these dams has caused quite a stir.

Amidst all the dam conversation, Sindh however, has allegedly achieved the completion of 50 operational dams. As many as 31 new dams are under construction while some are under the tendering process according to the Sindh government – or so some people claim.

Bakhtawar Zardari explained what the PPP government has been actually doing about the water crisis in detail – also attaching a map of Sindh showing its current water situation.

It might be a great initiative on their part, but people are not buying it.

Most of the people are asking for the locations of the dams since they can’t seem to be found anywhere

Some are really pissed and have been lashing out at PPP.

Some are accusing them of doing the “Tanker Mafia” business in Sindh

Legit

Umm??

And lol, Wikipedia never lies

Other people are having a good laughing moment.

Basically, people are going in hard with the trolling

The Internet really does have no chill

Whether the dams do really exist or if they are operational is still a hard thing for most people to believe given the current situation of Sindh – where scarcity of food, water, electricity, and several other things is still a prevalent problem. Let us know what you think about this whole situation in the comments below.
