Here Are The 40 Rules Of Love As Told By “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”

A lot of you have read and memorized the “40 Rules Of Love” by Elif Shafak. But every time I watch “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”, I am taught so more and more about what love is, how people show their love. So here are the 40 rules of love that we found from “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”

 

1. Love doesn’t only exist between two lovers, it is the sadness that a daughter feels when her mother walks barefoot on the road because she refuses to spend money on a new pair of shoes

2. Love is the bond that three sisters share in face of every single hardship that comes their way

3. Love is when a woman asks her daughters to respect their father even after he has abandoned them

4. Love is when a sister is always there for her brother, no matter what happens, she is his support

 

5. It is when a woman gives a man her all, to get some love in return

6. Love is the look a man gives to his best friend’s son, beaming with sheer pride, because he grew up right in front of him and he’s proud of the man he’s become

 

7. Love is the feeling best friends share with each other

 

8. And what a mother feels for her daughters whom she thinks she has deprived of the better things in life

9. It is okay to sometimes be stern with those we love the most, because we’re only looking out for their best interests

10. Sometimes, all you need to do is forget your pain and laugh a little with those you love the most

24. When you put yourself in harm’s way to protect the one you love

25. When you accept your son’s decision even if you don’t fully agree with it

26. Sometimes, you need to sit back and accept the love that you deserve

27. And sometimes you need to accept the fact that even though someone has agreed to marry you, that means you still need to give them space

28. No matter how much you love someone, you have to respect their privacy

29. You should allow the person in your life to fully become a part of it

 

 

30. And you should try becoming as big a part of their life, as well

31. If you’re missing someone, you must let them know

 

32. If you have to, take another channel to get to the one you love, as long as it doesn’t make them uncomfortable or hurts them or harms them in any way

 

33. You should do everything to keep the one you love close to you

34. Fight for the one you love, stand up for them in front of those who oppose you or bring forth invalid reasons for the two of you to not be together

35. And if something does happen that causes distances between the two of you, you must do everything you can to get them back

36. No matter what you do, do not sit back and do nothing

37. Never hide something from the one you love, especially if it is something that might affect their mental well being

38. If you have to say something to the person you love, don’t hold it back because you will regret your decision later on

39. Never be too scared to say sorry, saying sorry doesn’t affect your status

40. Cherish who you love, hold them close, and don’t let them get so far away from you that you can’t see them anymore
