It's Official, Zainab Abbas Is Our National Lucky Charm Because Pakistan Beat Sri Lanka

By Arslan Athar | 12 Jun, 2017

So the past few days has seen the emergence of a new national hero: Zainab Abbas.

After she became the national heartthrob during the last edition of Pakistan Super League Zainab has transitioned into the go-to cricket expert.

During this Champions Trophy, Zainab has been caught taking selfies with players, but her curse is that during that all important match they play next, they either get out for a duck, or their team loses.

First she got AB De Villiers

Told him to go easy on us tomorrow 🙏🏻 AB the man! #ABdeVilliers #PAKvSA

And then Virat Kohli

Then she took a selfie with Sri Lankan captain Angelo Matthews before their match against team Pakistan, earlier today

And her selfie curse worked!

Pakistani Twitter rejoiced and celebrated this national hero

It wasn’t Pakistani’s jeet, it was hers

People were in awe of her powers

Those who doubted her powers had to face her wrath

So a selfie with the English team?

Zainab, you have a name. Go and strike.

Some people took her skills way too seriously.

Like bohut serious muamla hogaya

And this person seems to have forgotten the *real* Pakistani team

Kahin khushi mein woh kahin bhool na jaye waisay

For this man, nothing else mattered in this game

And people want Sarfaraz to recognize her efforts for the team

Waisay this person is not wrong

Finally, this person submitted a formal selfie request.

So please, comply

Congratulations Team Pakistan (and Zainab Abbas)! May we see an English selfie soon 🙂
