Being married to someone who lives their life under the constant scrutiny of social media cannot be an easy job. And this is something Yumnah Shahid seemed to be prepared for and has always taken in stride.

After Zaid introduced his wife to the world, of course, everyone had an opinion.

A lot of the opinions were negative but the couple did not pay any attention to the haters. Until now…

Zaid and Yumnah made a video where the pair read out mean comments people had left for Yumah or both of them. And things got pretty harsh. A lot of the comments were directed at Yumnah’s looks.

The first comment that Zaid reads out loud is, some saying that Yumnah looked very familiar to them and then they remembered, that it’s because Yumnah looks like the lizard he’s seen at his house. Wow. Brutal.

Yumnah takes it all in good humor however and says that she can’t do anything about the person thinking she looks like a lizard and she won’t spend her entire life crying over one mean comment.

Another comment said, “hahaha, this is how she looks cute? Cheap black monkey”, wow. What’s up with all this hate guys?

Another comment was directed towards Zaid saying “Zaid bhai, aapnay humari zindagi mein bauhat mazak kiye aur ab aapki zindagi khud aik mazak ban chukki hai” (Zaid, you’ve made a lot of jokes in your life but now your life itself is a joke). To this Yumnah looks and points at the camera threatening to find the person who commented that and then pivots and says, she will just have a polite conversation with them. Honestly, Yumnah remains very classy throughout the video.

The next comment was about how the color of Yumnah’s hands did not match that of her face

Now this is a topic that Yumnah has faced a lot for. She has been color shamed A LOT.

She addressed the issue and said this is the way it has always been and she can’t do anything to change it. And it remains different even when she is not wearing makeup.

The entire video, even though focused on the dark topic of hate comments, the couple had a good time laughing at everything rude which people had said. It was good to see that the two were not taking anything to heart and letting it roll off their backs which is needed to brave comments as nasty as the ones people tend to leave on the internet.

The couple ended their video by reading out a sweet comment someone had left, in an effort to counteract all the negativity. And in the end, Zaid praises his wife by talking about her strong character which is one of the things which he appreciates about her.
