Humsafar
This drama serial wasn’t just a big hit in Pakistan, but won the hearts of many across the border as well. Fawad Afzal Khan who played Ashar’s character said the most romantic things to Mahira Khan’s character Khirad that truly captured the true essence of how romance and compliments should really be like.
“Kabhi kabaar mujhe lagta hai jaise tum mujhe kisi neki ke badle mil gayi ho, kisi sachchi dil se nikli dua ke badle”
“Mrs. Ashar Hussain, aap jo marzi karle aap hamesha khoobsurat lagti hain” Seeing Khirad blush at his praise, he teases her further by saying,“Ab agar aapne sharmaliya to chalen?”.
“Khirad, tum mere liye bahut khaas ho. Kabhi bhi apne aap ko kamtar mat samajhna, warna mujhe lagega ki mere pyaar mein koi kami reh gayi“ Ashar repeatedly reassures Khirad of his unconditional love for her with these heartening words.
“Tum bahut achchi lag rahi thi Khirad, balki itni achchi lag rahi thi ki mujhe dar lag raha tha ki meri hi nazar na lag jaaye” Ashar reassures Khirad when she doubts her choice of dress for Sara’s birthday party.
Pyaare Afzal
This heart-wrenchingly sad and beautiful tale of unrequited love and passion made you all fall in love with Afzal, and the often sweet and sometimes powerful dialogues of this drama
“Mere abba kaha karte thay ke mardon mein se asal mard ko phechaana aisa hai jese saare tarboozon mein se lal tarbooz phechaana”– Sheikh Ibrahim
