Waqar Younis, the former Pakistani right-arm fast bowler and the former coach of Pakistan cricket team, is remembered as one of the fastest bowlers of all times and that’s mostly why he has been in the news in the past.
Waqar Younis decided to share his mansplain to women and shared a rather sexist tweet
@ICC What abt having 30 overs Cricket World Cup 4 Women???Like Tennis 3 sets rather then 5 #Suggestion I feel 50 overs r few 2many #WWCUP17
— waqar younis (@waqyounis99) June 29, 2017
He then subtly moved on to his suggestion about how it’s better to have 30 overs for the Women Cricket World Cup instead of 50 because the full 50 is “few too many” for women
Khair, the tweet sparked a debate on the social battlefield that is twitter but for all the right reasons.
Has Waqar consulted any of the female players? Doesn't seem like it. Then why does he think he can speak on their behalf? https://t.co/tdrnTx7KQL

Has Waqar actually asked them or it is just his opinion because, for him, women are naturally physically inferior to men?
YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT PROFESSIONAL SPORTSWOMEN WHO HAVE EVERY CAPACITY TO SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES AAP KO SOCHNAY KI ZAROORAT NAHIN HAI. https://t.co/oYl6SR4VBP

Amidst all of this, some of the men on Twitter started exhibiting their male privileges as usual
Plus females can't play it,boring to watch we are only in this situation because they want equality , fuck them
— Hasan Caan (@YoloPoloKolo) June 29, 2017
While others suggested that it’s better not to bring in feminism because men know everything about women and their capabilities
It's a sugestion and i think it's a good one.Leave your feminism aside.
Playing 50 overs isn't as easy as we think. https://t.co/5RXSWXSlaw— i.? (@shamisaysall) June 30, 2017
Others had simple, rather innocent questions like most of us
@waqyounis99 Sir I think they are creating records in 50 overs. So no point of discrimination….isn't it? #WWC17

I mean, here we thought that the lack of funds and opportunities were already disheartening to see when it comes to the female cricket team but turns out that still doesn’t suffice the male ego in general.
Some people were there just to incite the ‘women’ and trigger reactions out of them
50 overs are too many for women, takes up the whole day, who's gona make the keema ??
Only joking, chill, waiting a #reaction ?

Most people, though, have just one question: what’s your point Waqar Younis?
1) you leave your nonsensical prejudices aside first.
2) is the women's cricket team complaining about 50 overs? No. So what is ur point? https://t.co/tdrnTx7KQL

Waqar Younis might have shared the tweet in good faith but the fact that it is a classic example of how men think it’s their right to decide stuff for women is as vivid as a day. So Mr. Waqar Younis and generally the other men of the world, kindly only let us decide things that concern us. How does that sound? Great? Thought so. No added burden for you. Win win.
