18 More Criminally Underrated Pakistani Songs You Should Be Listening To Right Now

By Sarah Babar | 15 Nov, 2016

We gave you a collection of our favorite criminally underrated Pakistani songs, earlier and you told us you wanted more.

Well…We has more! What are you people doing if you’re not listening to these songs?

1. Saad Follows – Kall-ah-ma

Rawr.

2. Zia Zaidi – I’m Just Glad

3. Sarmad Ghafoor – Jab Tum Gaye

I honestly sometimes think God helped making this song. Because it’s just that good.

4. Kashmir – Soch

OH MY GOD.

5. Qasim Ben Tariq – Khush Rahay Tu

Okay, Qasim Ben Tariq is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. And his music does absolute justice to that. Go on to his soundcloud and listen to the rest of his music, too.

6. Omair Ahmed – Aas

7. Barfani Reech Ajao – Fidel Castro

Barfani Reech Ajao is the shit. In the absolute best way possible. And this song is insane. Again, in the best way possible.

8. Poor Rich Boy (and the toothless winos) – Zardarazir

Poor Rich Boy have created a little cult for themselves, with a genre Pakistan was alien to at a mass level, before. It’s indie music at its best.

9. Silversmoke – Sawaal

Warning: you’ll be a little angsty for a while after this one.

10. Exit 57 – Rooh

11. Ganda Banda and The 3 Dead Cats – Tu Na Ho Mere Pass

Ah, Ganda Banda was Ali Alam’s thing before Aunty Disco Project. The diversity of music from both the bands just goes to show Alam’s range and it’s an absolute pity he stopped making music. Or if he still does, then he needs to let people know.

12. Mauj – Baat Barti Gayi

Okay, so Mauj is probably not an underrated band..but boy this song is! The song takes you to a whole other place, which was unknown to Mauj fans, before. So listen and love.

13. Jehangir Aziz Hayat – Pretend To Be

Jehangir is this major babe who first appeared on TV around 12 years ago, during the rock music boom in Pakistan, with Never Change. And he’s one of the few people who has still stayed true to the genre.

14 & 15. Aunty Disco Project – Hum Na Rahey/Nazar

They get two because they disbanded. And because everyone has a special place in their hearts for ADP.

16. Ally&Moby – Sahara

Ah, this one’s actually one of my favourites. It’s got all the makings of the perfect post-break up song. You know the kind you listen to on your headphones and cry silently? Yep. *cue goosebumps*

17. Natasha Humera Ejaz – Raqeeb

Now that you already have goosebumps, here’s another. I first heard this song in the car and I almost let go of the steering wheel because that’s how badly my heart skipped a beat. This woman sings like a goddess.

P.S. Word of advice, don’t listen to this song for the first time while driving. Trust me.

18. Abbas Ali Khan – Par Mein Hoon Ruka Sa

Okay, Abbas has got to be probably one of THE most underrated artists of all times! His voice has this haunting quality, so whether it’s Malal or this song, you’ll feel a lot of things. Trust me.

Also, watch the whole video. Theynks.

Oh, and let us know if you still want more. We listen 😉
