India and Pakistan’s relations have been tense since the day of independence. Full fledged wars, and little conflicts have put a strain on the two neighboring country’s association. Recent steps liken the Kartarpur Corridor are being hailed as opportunities to mend the tense relationship between the two neighbors. On top of this the famous Pakistani hospitality adds to the experience of any visitors, especially from India.
Early today, a Sikh gentleman visiting Pakistan from India tweeted about his wonderful Uber experience in Lahore.
It is tweets like these that make us more united and pleased of the country we live in. This young Pakistani Uber driver made us all proud by promoting friendship across the border, and spread this love to Prabhdeep Singh, the Indian customer.
I have taken Uber in 5 continents but my best Uber experience was earlier this week in Pakistan. Ahmed dropped me to Wagah border from Lahore. Refused to take money because I am an Indian and a guest. Waited till I crossed the border. Spoke about love and brotherhood. @Uber_PKR pic.twitter.com/E0XfDvQyCW

Not only did Mr. Singh say that this was the best Uber experience, but he felt so touched about it, that he took a picture and shared his experience with a tweet.

The problem between the two countries is purely political. If the governments can work something out, I'm pretty sure our border would be like USA and Canada. @PMOIndia @narendramodi @ImranKhanPTI

It is our desire to live like brothers

Love this! India-Pakistan, we are and always will be brothers! We were divided by outsiders, made to hate each other by outsiders.
But remaining is the fact, that we are brothers and sisters, and are more similar than we are different.— 🐺 Huncho Lupo 🐺 (@qasim28824045) December 27, 2018
That’s what it is all about, treating visitors to Pakistan like guests, showing them the real love us Pakistanis have. Actions like these not only improve our image in the international world, but it also increases tourism and encourages the outside community to invest and build in Pakistan. We should take this as an example, and set a precedent on how to treat anyone that visits.
Great job Ahmed, you really did us proud.
