According to the people who first responded to the crime scene, she seemed to have had her head bashed in by a gun.

Mehreen and her friends had returned to her apartment late at night. According to her friends, she left to get cigarettes but never returned, according to Daily Mail.

The main suspect in Mehreen’s attempted murder is 27 year old Eduardo Santos Abrahao Filho that she had met earlier that evening.

Edaurdo is currently in custody and under investigation for the attack on Mehreen. The Perth court held a hearing for the cause this Monday with Mehreen’s close friends and Eduardo’s family present.

Meanwhile Mehreen’s parents flew in from Dubai to be by her side.

In a statement to the local media they said:

Mehreen has been through an extremely traumatic experience which should not have happened and one which no person should have to endure. We will be by her side as she fights to recover.

The case is still under investigation and the police is still fighting to get Mehreen the justice she deserves, while Mehreen herself remains in intensive care, fighting for her life.

Her family and friends describe her as a kind, caring and loving person. Here’s hoping Mehreen gets to be back on her legs soon.
