In efforts to promote ‘Naya Pakistan,’ the Punjab Governor house opened its doors to the public to show it’s accessibility to those in the country between them and their politicians.
Once the doors were opened, the government saw an overwhelming turnout as people all over Pakistan came to see the house.

Unfortunately, with the opening of the doors, came the trashing of the grounds.

After a visit of 25,000 people, visitors left the grounds of the home completely trashed along with stolen fruits and plants from the grounds.
MediaRay, the page that posted the images on Facebook, posted the pictures with the caption, “These are pics of Governor House Lahore after a visit of 25,000 people. They spoiled the place, ruined kitchen garden, damaged property and stole premature fruits. They also damaged gardens and littered everywhere…”
“…When I tried to stop one person, he said, “I am breaking small plant sapling because it has been planted due to my tax money”. It seems that French Revolution 2.0 has occurred and people are striving to bring change by destroying state property.”

It’s not the biggest surprise that visitors did not respect the grounds and rules of the house considering that the same thing happened at the Islamabad airport.

And it seems as though other Pakistanis agree with that as well and are quite disappointed by that fact.

However, others made some good points.
