We’re not going to talk about the Zainab incident, per se, here. But we do need to highlight one major major issue taking place in our entertainment industry, right now. While the Zainab incident is horrific just to think about, a certain production house in Pakistan decided to go ahead and make a telefilm about it.

This disturbs us for a few reasons:

a) You can’t make a whole telefilm about a girl you know nothing about. What “Baaghi”, the drama series about Qandeel Baloch, gave us was something completely different. Qandeel was a public figure who had given us all insight into her life. We knew, if not most, then some aspects of her life. She chose to let us in. How on earth can you make a biopic about a child you know nothing about?

b) How are you going to direct that child into getting abducted by men? It makes use quite furious to even imagine that, let alone talk about it

While there are pictures of the young girl portraying Zainab, with celebrities coming out, we’re trying to figure out if NOBODY’s seeing what’s wrong with all of this

How does a child get over something like this? You’re obviously going to give her some context of what happened to the real Zainab, no? How does this girl then have it in her to face the world?

People all across are also fuming with anger over this piece of news and it seems that nobody’s really happy with this
