Taher Shah has left Pakistan. Yes, the international singing sensation who gifted us with two HUGE hits, “Eye to eye” and “Angel”, cemented himself in the international pop culture.
Sadly, his home country couldn’t respect him as an entertainer
There were trolls
Now play a Taher Shah song for them all. One of them will definitely try to kill me. #IfIWasHankMoody @AXNIndia

There was ridiculous mockery

There were haters
Why are they highlighting Taher Shah's appearance in Oye Kuch Kar Guzar. That would be a reason why ppl WONT watch the film

And because of all this negativity, our Angel decided to depart to some land far away
And this is why:
According to Express Tribune, “Pakistan’s famous singer Taher Shah, who is known for spreading love through his music had been receiving life threats for quite some time”.
The statement Taher Shah’s manager shared with Express Tribune further stated, “recently Shah made his film debut with Pakistan’s first online film and it seems like the haters are not admiring his approach of using arts to the benefit of mankind. Perhaps that is the reason why he was getting threats . Shah was left heartbroken when the government failed to provide him security and as a result of which he decided to leave Pakistan.”
Here’s how the internet has been reacting ever since news of the Angel’s departure spread:
So sad. Why would anyone have a thing against Taher Shah? He left the country due to risk
