‘Suno Chanda’ honestly just keeps getting better, more enthralling each episode and has miraculously managed to maintain a crisp and addictive narrative that has yet to droop the slightest. Last night’s episode was rather mellow throughout, with Arsal unwilling to continually profess his love to a reluctant Jia, but after one particular scene, or a moment of clarity – that was what we were all waiting for.

The episode was rather mellow in the storyline, however entertaining nonetheless as I kept anticipating all of Jia and Arsal’s moments together
We’ve noticed Arsal being a bundle of both overprotective and jealous in the last episode as Jia and Sherry spent more and more time together. This episode saw Arsal introspect, continually grabbing Jia every chance he could get and hopelessly confessing that he really truly does love her.
Jia was incredibly cold to him, colder than I think we’ve ever seen her, and her incessant mocking and verbal abuse towards Arsal were both unjust and rather rude
She kept audaciously insulting him, insisting that he’s pretty much out of his mind and he’s not thinking clearly; he doesn’t love her – it’s just a tangled mess of emotions according to her.
Amidst all this Jia and Arsal’s parents have been incredibly stressed (adding the comedy to the more serious undertone of the Arsal-Jia dynamic), however, the comedy abruptly ends when Jia’s father slaps Arsal twice
Arsal says nothing, as Jia stands back in shock (well honey, it was your fault for running to daddy and complaining about him). He’s crying, and it’s honestly heart-wrenching to see.
He gives a soft and fleeting defeating thumbs up, before walking away
You’d think Jia would feel the slightest bit of remorse, but she’s coerced into an iftaari with Sherry and Arsal, so they can sort their problems away from the drowning family environment back home
Perhaps it’s just stubbornness (she is very, very stubborn), perhaps she really doesn’t feel for Arsal as she clearly tells him, or maybe she just doesn’t know it yet. Whatever she feels, there is something there, deep down – I can feel it in my bones.
The scene of the night, was so quick, so unexpected and so sudden, by the end of it I was in absolute tears
On the way back from the iftaari, Sherry, Arsal and Jia experience an attempted robbery in their car. Sherry flees for his own life (what a loser), while Arsal tries to protect Jia at all costs. It’s so immediate, and as a viewer, you’re suddenly overburdened with so much emotion it’s overwhelming to the core. Arsal immediately gets out of the car when the thieves try to kidnap Jia, and we don’t know if he’s shot – but he’s visibly hurt…
And that’s where we hear it – the words we were anticipating for so long; “Arsal! Arsal meri jaan, utho”
This is the first time we see Jia shaken to the core. And the episode immediately comes to a halt. I’m tearing up writing this currently, not only because Arsal could be hurt, but because Jia truly does care for him, and I really hope it’s love. It has to be. Right?
The episode had fans going CRAZYYYY, with many wishing Jia would just go easy on a besotted Arsal
