Okay, so this is possibly the most exciting news of 2018, and NO WE AREN’T PLAYING AROUND. Rumors began circulating last night that Marvel was eyeing Shah Rukh Khan as their next Indian Superhero venture, and at first, I was like “YEAH THAT’S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN,” but when you have credible publications discussing it that’s when it’s like, “oh, DAYUMMMMMMM!”

So here are all the delicious details…
The Vice President of Creative Development at Marvel (basically the MAIN GUY) made a statement that he’d cast Shah Rukh Khan when they create Indian content
Stephen Wacker spoke exclusively to Indian publication ‘India Express’ and said that Marvel has always had a universal following that transcends border; “It’s the belief that there is a hero inside all of us. Within each of us is the belief that we can be better than who we are. I think that’s exciting for everybody.” He specified how he has special plans for its Indian fans and said that “in the next few years Marvel is going to try to create characters with a real toehold in Indian culture.”
He then said…wait for it…”If we make Indian content, we have to put Shah Rukh Khan. He has to be in it…”
Shah Rukh Khan’s played a superhero before, in the Bollywood film ‘Ra One.’ It was absolutely god awful, but the only saving grace was our King Khan looking beautiful as quite the handsome superhero – so we know for a fact HE WILL LOOK AMAZING AS A MARVEL HERO!!!
