Sonu Nigam seriously needs an intervention. He’s been the center of controversy time and time again and he legit now’ just become absolutely ridiculous. He spoke at an event, ‘Agenda Aaj Tak’ where he accused Pakistani singers but also threw major shade at Bollywood as well LOL (not surprised) for stealing work from Bollywood.
Sonu said “sometimes I feel like it was better if I was from Pakistan. At least I would get offers from India”
He’s only sung four songs for Bollywood films this year while his Indian counterparts have sung 254 according to this chart that twitter user @Hipsterrrific compiled LOL; and if you look closer, out all the movies that were released in 2018, 264 songs from these films were only 10 were sung by Pakistanis.

The singer, once incredibly renowned in the late ’90s and early ’00s went onto complain about how “nowadays singers have to pay music companies for shows”
He referred to various music production companies and said that if “we don’t shell the money, they will play songs sung by other singers and highlight them. Then they will take money from them.”
BUT, here’s the twist in his tirade – he then said this only happens for INDIAN singers, and not for Pakistani ones
Sonu mourned how music companies “don’t ever do the same with Pakistani singers” before claiming that both Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are close friends of his but are never asked to “pay to sing at shows.” He then blamed remixes and a lacking of generating new music as well for not hiring him (which doesn’t really make sense).
Naturally, the singer was massively trolled, especially after THAT Aazaan controversey that really made people despise him even more
