Grumpy Shaan Is Trying SO HARD To Backtrack After Dissing Mahira At Cannes But Are You Buying It?

By Iman Zia | 15 May, 2018

Oh, Shaan. Shaan, Shaan, Shaan. The actor caught himself in the middle of a bit of a mess when he questioned why Mahira Khan was present at Cannes, after posting a question underneath online publication ‘Something Haute’s’ Facebook profile…

The c0mment was torn apart with criticism, with many stating that the actor had little idea behind the concept of the annual Cannes Film Festival itself

Cannes is indeed a film festival, and while the premise is a showcase of selected films, the festival has long been associated with fashion, where celebrities set fire to the red carpet wearing A-lister designers. L’Oréal has long been the official partner of the film festival and has sent numerous brand ambassadors from across the world to represent it.

After receiving tremendous hate on social media, with many questioning the actor’s intelligence, the actor went back to ‘Something Haute’s’ profile on Facebook

In a desperate attempt to redeem himself, the actor insisted he isn’t ‘the enemy…’ in an albeit very confusing string of words. He suddenly blamed the ‘problems’ plaguing his country that upset him.

He later went on a rant again other another post and condemned us journalists for ‘twist[ing]’ his words, and stated that he meant that he isn’t questioning why Mahira is present, but why Lollywood has failed to showcase a film

Alright, dude, nice try but we really don’t buy it, like come on.

This isn’t the first time Shaan’s been a little aggressive on social media, or overtly expressive when it comes to voicing his opinion

After his movie, ‘Arth’ was panned by both critics and audiences, the actor took to Facebook to vent, before taking to Twitter to literally fight everyone who told him his movie was basically crap…

Oh, and he also attacked Ali Zafar once during an Awards Ceremony, saying “sasti shurhat kamanay hum India nehin jatay”

To which Ali Zafar responded, “aaj kal hum aik Global dunya mein reh rahay hein jahan pe, dunya bhar mein filmein ban raheen hein. Collaboratively kaam kernay mein koi harj nehin…”

So yeah…suffice to say he’s got something to say about…everything…

Do you buy Shaan’s rather odd ‘apology’ or whatever on earth he’s talking about?
