Sarwat Gilani Shutting Down Trolls Who Shame Her For Celebrating Her Pregnancy Is All Kinds Of Wonderful

Sarwat Gilani and her husband Fahad Mirza tied the knot in 2014 and the couple have been looking perfect ever since

Earlier this year, Sarwat Gillani did a photo shoot for a lifestyle magazine and it was not received so well.

Sarwat was accused of following international celebrities, flaunting her imminent motherhood (?!?) and apparent lack of sharam-o-haya

Following her second son’s child birth, people either kept criticizing her for flaunting her baby bump or for not planning her family with adequate gaps (as if it’s any of our business).

Sarwat Gilani finally decided not to stay silent and recently schooled trolls about minding their own goddamn business when it comes to a woman’s body and her fertility

It was really badass, tbh.

“Why is it anyone’s business to comment on how many children should I have? Why is it anyone’s concern how late or soon should I have them and funnily enough why is it always men who have such lame concerns?

My fertility is certainly not your problem nor an excuse to have a conversation or make a joke. Don’t misunderstand my politeness for weakness!

You all know who you are! Get a book on how to converse with a lady who already keeps you at a distance or next time you shall be tagged.” Sarwat posted on Facebook.

Even though most of the comments underneath Sarwat’s post were positive, there were some who blamed it all on her. AGAIN!

Apparently, in Pakistan, celebrating your pregnancy and fertility is basically you giving everyone the authority to comment on your personal life choices. Smh.

Amidst all of this, there were people who talked sense too

It’s about time that we break the taboo that’s associated with pregnant women coming out in public and having a life. Moreover, while family planning is important, when a woman decides to have kids is still her choice at the end of the day and no one else’s. Criticizing women for wanting to have or not have kids is honestly none of your or our business. Live and let live, shall we?

Sarwat, you go girl!
