‘Love Aaj Kal’Ā changed Bollywood’s usual romantic take on life. The film did have its filmy moments but it never compromised on the realness director and writer Imtiaz Ali was trying to project. It brought forth a new dawn of spinning Indian cinema in a more Indie manner. Starring Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan, the film was both a commercial and critical success.
Imtiaz Ali is now planning a sequel and has already roped in Saif’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan and newcomer Kartik Aaryan for the sequel to the 2009Ā film.
Indian publication DNA has now confirmed that Saif Ali Khan will be playing “an important role in the rom-com.”
This marks the first time Saif will be sharing screen space with his daughter Sara, and we can’t wait to see them together. The publication revealed that it wouldn’t just be “a cameo, but a full-fledged role.” Saif will be playing Sara’s father in the film.
While Saif Ali Khan has most recently found international success with Netflix’s highly acclaimed ‘Sacred Games,’ daughter Sara is already two films down, with her most recent one,Ā ‘Simmba’Ā entering the 100 crore club.
