Sahir Lodhi more or less disappeared form the public eye after he bashed his haters in a televised speech.  The host-turned-actor-turned-host again had an angry outburst on television last month after his debut film “Raasta” tanked in the box office.

Sahir’s efforts in emulating Shah Rukh Khan in his acting has been a butt of jokes since forever. To a point that he brought it up with King Khan himself:

Yep, that happened.

Which explains why the actor has been having violent, emotionally charged and extremely vocal “Shah Rukh Khan moments” on live television. Just in case you thought you’ve seen the last of Sahir Lodhi’s stunts to make himself relevant again, he’s back.

On the very first episode of his new show Ishq-e-Ramzan, Sahir Lodhi went on to rant about patriotism. 

The demi-god of cringe went on to deliver a verbal smackdown to a female guest speaker on his show in the name of Quaid-e-Azam.

The unnamed girl recited a heartfelt speech about the oppression women face in society.

Naming the likes of Khadijja, Aafia Siddiqui and Qandeel baloch, she gave a much needed reality check to the country. Bringing up systematic oppression women have had to face in Pakistan, the girl’s poem forced the audience to think of all the instances a woman was denied basic human rights, let alone be treated with respect and equality. The greater theme of her poem was to make the audience realize of all that it takes for a woman to be alive in Pakistan. The emotional highlight of her poem was when she called upon Quaid-e-Azam to see how Pakistanis had turned his vision of a country into a sad state of affairs. This even called for an applause from the audience.

And that’s when Sahir Lodhi snapped.

Before she could finish her speech, Sahir Lodhi pulled a Kanye West on her.

Sahir went on a long tirade on how everyone should be ashamed for calling out Quaid-e-Azam like that and that we owe him a homeland and well, stating the obvious. The host went into full psycho mode as he also derided the crowd for applauding. And guess what, he didn’t let her finish either.

He completely lost his shit at one point as he rambled incoherently over the Bangladesh not being a part of Pakistan anymore.

Calm down Sahir, the girl didn’t literally call out to Quaid-e-Azam in distress. In fact, if anything, she actually showed respect to Quaid-e-Azam by caring for the vision he had for this country. If you’d actually listened to her instead of hatching ways to become relevant again, you’d know that.

Although we “appreciate” the fact that Sahir Lodhi came in defense of the Great Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the only problem is that the poor girl did nothing whatsoever to provoke anyone. 

And many of the people on social media agreed.
