Saba has always been one for character roles, as opposed to glamorous self-projection, and it has always worked in her favor.
She’s the go-to actress for out-of-the-box roles, that other leading ladies might think twice (four times) about doing. Even her Bollywood debut is her playing a middle-class mother, struggling with the impositions of society. She’s always stood up for other female actresses, too. And also for herself.
