It’s no secret that Pakistani fashion designers are some of the most talented in the world.
Pakistani couturier Rizwan Beyg was recently selected to represent Pakistan at the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange at Buckingham Palace.
The Fashion Exchange is an inspirational event to highlight how the human potential of fashion can make positive impacts on the lives of people all over the world.
Beyg first started creating his ‘truck art’ designs in 2013 inspired by Pakistan’s rickshaws and trucks and painted by rural artists.
Beyg created a lehnga and open-gown styled coat full of intricate and colorful motifs. The pattern of the ensemble was designed by original truck artists in Pakistan and then printed on silk and embellished by women in Bhawalpur.
The Fashion Exchange was co-hosted by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and The Countess of Wessex, Sophie. Anna Wintour, Stella McCartney, and many other influential faces from the fashion world were in attendance.
People had nothing but good things to say about his accomplishment
Rizwan Beyg has definitely made Pakistan very proud. Keep up the great work!
