Riz Ahmed Just Asked Marvel The Most Important Question And We're So Fucking Here For It

By Iman Zia | 16 May, 2018

What a time to be alive. Honestly, it’s not the three cups of coffee I’ve just doused, I’m legit being serious. It’s a thrilling time for our Brown actors in Hollywood, in particular, Riz Ahmed, Kumail Nanjiani and Mindy Kaling who are shimmering abroad, making us desis incredibly proud.

A few days ago, Marvel announced that a Pakistani Superhero is in the works, during a BBC interview with Marvel president Kevin Feige

Ms. Marvel or Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old Pakistani American hailing from New Jersey, who tries to overcome the troubles that plague teens in America, and revolves around how life changes for the Muslim gal who is gifted with superhero powers. Comic book creator Sana Amanat is the brains behind the character, who is the director and editor at Marvel Comics.

Riz took to Twitter to legit ask Marvel the question of the century, tagging fellow brown actors Mindy Kaling and Kumail Nanjiani

Riz asked the comic studio when they’d like him, Mindy and Kumail to get started on the screenplay for a film for Ms. Marvel.
