Thanks to Instagram and Facebook, there is a constant supply of insanely delicious food videos all over the internet. Whether it’s a slow-mo video of jalebis, a quick DIY video on how to make a Nutella milkshake or those crazy desserts that melt when chocolate sauce is poured on them (yumyumyum).
So lately, there has been this cheesy (no pun intended) food trend that may have been smothering (pun totally intended) your social media feeds.
Dosto, I am talking about this cheese all over the burger trend
We’ve all seen those super artsy and delicate looking desserts that are broken down by a delicious drizzle of some kind of hot chocolate or caramel sauce, but this – this is just weird.
A restaurant named Maxwell’s in London, England is responsible for introducing this monstrosity to the world
This all beef burger arrives on your plate with a side of fries and a side of melted cheddar that is immediately poured all over your meal.
At first glance, it almost seems as if it is a joke. There is no way people are spending actual money on a perfectly fine burger being completely destroyed by a huge shower of cheese.
No matter how good a shower of cheese may sound – just, no.
As a huge fan of cheese and on behalf of all the cheese and burger lovers out there, all I have to say is- wtf.
Secondly, please explain how drowning a juicy delicious burger in cheese will make it any easier to consume. The only way it seems it can actually be eaten is by using a knife and fork.
And this evil creation has reached Pakistan too with this restaurant offering a cheesy concoction to be poured over your burger
The restaurant Caffe Royale London in Lahore (lol) is ready to drown it’s food in cheese with this “Cheese Lave Burger” which will set you back, about Rs. 990/-, give or take.

The cheese isn’t even like cheese. It looks like milk…
And people are not happy
Food trends are cool and everyone should try new things but come on, really? This may be crossing the line just a (lot) bit.
But as fellow cheese obsessed individuals, it looks like this trend may just need to be tried.
Also as fellow cheese obsessed individuals, look at these cheezein (GET IT?)
Okay one more.
