We needn’t introduce Rishi Kapoor. The man has built quite the reputation for being quite condescending in his tweets, and has gathered a momentous following on the social media platform for his controversial opinions and online feuds sprouting out ever so often.
Rishi Kapoor was recently trolled for his racist rant during the ICC Champions Trophy by Pakistanis after India lost
Even our very own troll extraordinaire, Aamir Liaquat bhai, rose to the occasion by cooking some kapooray for the Kapoor.
And Rishi Kapoor’s active social media presence just caused his son a bit of discomfort when he had to justify his father’s actions to Pakistani media
So, Ranbir was sitting with Pakistani media to talk about his movie, Jagga Jasoos, when the matter about his father’s tweets came up
The interviewer questioned a nonchalant Ranbir about his father’s tweets around cricket, to which the actor admitted he’s never really been a cricket fan, and that football was his cup of tea. Ranbir said his father “didn’t really think twice” and wasn’t a “hypocrite”.
He let out a chuckle when he justified his tweets with a lighthearted comment that “[my father] gets himself into a lot of trouble also…sometimes he’ll tweet something after a certain time, but he doesn’t mean harm”.

So… uhhh… okay then…
To be honest, it’s understandable that Ranbir shouldn’t have to answer for his father’s action. Each man for himself, after all. But it’s nice to know Ranbir doesn’t exactly take his daddy’s opinions on Twitter too seriously. And neither should you guys, just btw.
