This PTI MNA Just Claimed That The Attack On Malala Was Staged By The Government

By Ather Ahmed | 21 May, 2017

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Musarrat Ahmadzeb has caused a storm on Twitter after making controversial claims about Malala Yousafzai. The MNA propogated the age old conspiracy that the attack on Malala and the subsequent attention she received is part of Western agenda against Pakistan.

Musarrat Ahmadzeb who is also part of the Swat Royal Family, in a series tweets, accused Human Rights groups along with the government of staging the attack on the Nobel Peace Prize winner, in 2012.

Ms Ahmadzeb even claimed that the groups in question asked her to join their cause. She went on to add that her ‘conscious’ has lead to her to reveal the truth.

Her comments have, naturally, attracted criticism on Twitter with some describing her as an attention seeker

This guy schooled the MNA by calling her out on the baseless accusations

Bakhtawar Zardari took a shot at PTI, noting that this is not the first time the party has “defend(ed) Taliban”

Mussarat fired back as well

Interestingly, despite Ms. Ahmadzeb’s accusations, the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) has on many occasions taken responsibility for the attack

TTP’s mouthpiece Ehsanullah Ehsan  has even described. Malala’s campaign for education as “obscenity”.

But conspiracy theories, in Pakistan, regarding the attack on Malala have been going since quite a while now

In fact any movement or campaign that is seemingly endorsed by Western regimes is propagated as a conspiracy against Pakistan

As expected, many came out in support of the MNA’s claims

Ms. Ahmadzeb later tweeted a clarification of sorts for her “critics”

Here’s hoping that whatever Malala has suffered from, no other child should ever have to go through.
