There’s a saying “do not count your chickens before they hatch”. Well we did the exact opposite when we got excited over Paresh Rawal’s recent remarks over Pakistan. The Hera Pheri star had said earlier on that he would love to work in Pakistan. Or that’s what we thought?
Abhi aik hee din pehle, during an interview with the Press Trust of India, Paresh Rawal said that he enjoyed Pakistani dramas such as ‘Humsafar‘
“I love all Pakistani TV serials like ‘Humsafar’, the way they act, the story, the writing, the language…It’s all good” were his words.
The famed actor comedian apparently described Indian dramas as ‘boring’, much to our delight.
Aman kee Asha aside, it does feel good when someone prefers Pakistani stuff over Indian. Its just the way it is. We cant help it. Its in our genes. I am pretty sure the other side feels the same way.
But that wasn’t even the best part
It was when he expressed his desire to work in Pakistani films that caused us to jump out of our seats.
“Yes, I would love to work in Pakistani films and shows” he was initially quoted to have said. The level of excitement caused us to already think about acting roles best suitable for him.
Within 24 hours however, Paresh sahab has made a U-Turn
In a latest interview with Bombay Times, Paresh Rawal said that he had been misquoted earlier.
He is now claiming that working in Pakistani films isn’t something he expressed as a wish

“I never said I want to work in Pakistani films, neither it is my wish. I want to categorically state this. I have been misquoted.”
It’s like Andaz Apna Apna all over again. We can’t figure out who the real Teja is. Don’t play with our hearts like that, make up your mind for god sake.
Also he clarified that he never called Indian dramas ‘boring’.
“I just said that I liked Pakistan’s TV serial ‘Humsafar‘, but never said ours are boring. I only said ours are a little slow.”
People are anything but pleased with ‘Babu Rao Ka istyle‘
Many are suggesting that Paresh Rawal feared backlash from Hindu nationalist groups
Whatever the case, Paresh sahab. This u-turn is not appreciated. Okay thank you, bye bye.
