WhatsApp Headquarters getting dragged by Pakistanis on social media
WhatsApp is arguably one of the biggest apps in the world. Wouldn’t even be unfair to say that in our part of the world it’s quite literally the biggest way we send messages to each other. In the past, WhatsApp’s commitment to provide security and privacy with encrypted conversations to its users has been appreciated by all and this has been one of the prime reasons that the app was widely used. Things took an unusual turn with the introduction of the new privacy policy recently introduced by WhatsApp and Pakistanis have perfectly meme-ed the situation out.
The new policy introduced by WhatsApp announced the sharing of the user data with the parent company Facebook
The previously trusted app is now being questioned over sharing personal data with Facebook. The awaam , in general, is under the impression that their messages will be monitored and shared with Facebook.

This, for obvious reasons, did NOT sit well with the people who then flexed their meme-ing skills by dragging WhatsApp Headquarters
After Reading WhatsApp chats of Pakistanis.

Several funny scenarios were used to ‘imagine’ the scenes at the WhatsApp Headquarters after rumors that the new privacy policy allows them to view all data
The people had the time of their lives imagining the situation at the WhatsApp headquarters after they would have finished spying on ordinary folks.

People continued to think about the possible reaction of Mark Zuckerberg after he would have curiously read the conversations of the users at the WhatsApp Headquarters
As people have assumed that WhatsApp’s new policy is all about WhatsApp or Mark Zuckerberg reading their messages so they continued to imagine how Mark would behave after reading certain messages.

WhatsApp has responded to the trolling and the general concern of the users regarding their privacy. They have explained that their privacy policy update doesn’t affect the privacy of the messages sent to friends and family. They have stated that this update only includes changes related to messaging a business on WhatsApp, which again is optional. But given the history, not a lot of people trust them.
