A two-day Envoys Conference on Economic Diplomacy began in Islamabad on Thursday to attract foreign investment in Pakistan. Sounds kinda eh, but boy, oh boy, we got some glorious content from it, all thanks to our wonderful PM, Imran Khan.
Imran Khan in his concluding remarks at the conference said “Africa ek emerging mulk hai”.

Yikes. Talk about an embarrassing mistake, eh?
I mean, ’emerging’ is used to describe an economy that is progressing towards becoming more advanced, usually by means of rapid growth and industrialization. Last we checked, Africa is the world’s poorest and most underdeveloped continent and not a country due to its corrupt government, illiteracy, inadequate water supply (and the list goes on.) Chronologically, too, Africa is actually thought to be the oldest inhabited territory on Earth.
So…Awks.

The main objective of the event was to promote economic diplomacy, yet such mistakes by the Prime Minister of the country in front of an audience that involved participation by Pakistan’s ambassadors and heads of missions from select capitals, representatives of public and private sectors, and government institutions, is quite disappointing. Honestly, more than anything, it’s just kinda awkward and embarrassing.
Pakistanis kinda fee that way too and they took to Twitter to express their disregard over Khan’s remarks.
There’s this guy who suggested that Khan could use some help with his speeches.
Dear Mr Prime Minister, for the love of Allah swt, make use of a speech writer.
And should your austerity finds it an unnecessary luxury, write what you have to say so that you don't sound stupid, I'll informed, and crude.
Yours sincerely

People still remember the chicken example. Someone brought it up again.
He is in the driving seat now, thanks to the hidden forces. I think he should keep his lectures to basics of chicken and eggs, unless he confuses the rooster, and the hen, then he should just stick to eggs only.

Khan was even compared to the Donald Trump again. Aye!
Trump said the same thing!
