Pakistan hasn’t been well, lately, and we all feel her pain. However, while once our media always portrayed a very positive image of our forces and those who protect us, the whole concept has been a little lost, lately. We used to get a lot of dramas coming in every few months that made us bleed green to the core, and now all this patriotism just looks like takkaluf.
Here’s a list of classic Pakistani dramas that will make you want to go hug Quaid E Azam:
1. Alpha Bravo Charlie
This is a story about three Pakistani men and their journey through their lives in the Pakistan Army. If you don’t love Kashif, Faraz, Gulsher and Shehnaz, you don’t have a heart.
2. Dhuaan
Here’s a story of how five friends from college meet after many years and decide to dedicate their lives to Pakistan, and thus join the Army.
3. Sunehre Din
Sunehre Din is a lighter take on the lives of officers within the Army.
4. Aziz Bhatti
There have to be very few people in this world who aren’t familiar with Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed. This drama takes us through his life, both personal and while serving.
5. Ek Thi Marium
At age of 23, Marium becomes the first female fighter pilot to die in a line of duty; she was awarded a guard of honor, a 19-gun salute and a Tamgha-e-Basalat by the Government of Pakistan. Here is her life story.
6. Ghazi Shaheed
Set in 1998, Ghazi Shaheed, is a telefilm revolving around the disasters that PNS Ghazi had to face on the bay of Bengal.
7. Rashid Minhas
Rashid Minhas was the only, the shortest serving. and the youngest PAF commissioned officer to have received the Nishan-e-Haider. To this date, he is also one of the biggest reasons mothers send their sons and daughters to the Air Force. And together him and Marium are slowly changing the face of the Pak Air Force.
8. Pas-e-Aaina
If there was ever a drama about feminism, it was this. Female police officers fighting crime and keeping everyone else asleep. Pas-e-Aaina has always been a treasure for us desis.
9. Jinnah Se Quaid
Possibly one of my favorite shows to ever have aired, Jinnah se Quaid is a pure work of art.
10. Wilco – Call of Duty
The story focused on numerous services of the army which was not only to protect the land against enemies, but also showed their efforts.
11. Sipahi Maqbool Hussain
Sipahi Maqbool Hussain is a name in our history that caused a lot of fury and grief among the people after he was imprisoned for four decades in India.
12. Aahan
Aahan is one complete serial with armed forces written by Wasi Shah, he also acted in it.
13. Jaan Hatheli Par
