Pakistani American actor Kumail Nanjiani was recently harassed by who he says were Donald Trump supporters, in California in the US. He was born in Karachi and then moved to the US when he turned 18. He is a popular stand-up comedian and actor and has been part of some much lauded projects, including The Colbert Report, Broad City and The X-Files.
Kumail, who stars in the hit comedy series ‘Silicon Valley’ was out with a fellow actor from the show when he suffered the ordeal
"We're big fans of you guys. (To Thomas) I trolled you on twitter yesterday." He goes on to say how we're wrong about Trump.

I go "Hey we don't wanna discuss politics right now." His friends goes "oh they're cucks." Then starts yelling at us. "CUCKS CUCKS CUCKS!"
— Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) November 12, 2016
Cuck is the term used by some conservatives to refer to people, men specifically, who they believe to be “weak”.
Kumail then narrated that the men who approached him started yelling in his face, making things tense and almost reaching a physical altercation
He starts getting in my face. Thomas puts his hand on the dude's chest to stop him. "Don't touch me you cuck. Wanna go outside?"

Before things could become really violent for Kumail, bouncers at the bar came in and threw his harassers out
This happened at a bar in LA surrounded by ppl. I can't imagine what it must be like to be someone who looks like me in other parts.

Kumail came out of this relatively unharmed but he was scared for Muslims and immigrants who live in more tougher locations in the US

Following this incident, there were messages of support for Kumail from so many people
@kumailn Absolutely appalling & infuriating! Hillary was right: Trump supporters are mostly racists, sexists, crazies, & a "basket of deplorables."
— Francis B. Baraan (@MrFrankBaraan) November 12, 2016
@kumailn I'm so sorry, and I suppose at least glad the bouncer came through.

@kumailn Worst thing about Trump and Brexit is that Racist, Misogynist, Homophobic, Xenophobic Bigots take strength from both.
— Graham Taylor (@Pottedhistory) November 12, 2016
But there were those who didn’t believe that Kumail was telling the truth
@kumailn I guess my biggest question is why didn't you go outside? Are you cucks?
— Moshe Kasher (@moshekasher) November 12, 2016
@kumailn Nice try at seizing power. WE won't tolerate your anti-American, anti-white bigotry.
— Trump Revolution (@Early__May) November 13, 2016
@kumailn I am immigrant , woman of color who proudly voted for Trump. You can shove your "don't feel safe" shtick!?
— GreatAgain?? (@FedUpAmerican5) November 12, 2016
And this what Kumail’s response is for haters like that
I like the ppl that don't believe me, as if I'm like "it's great that I'm on an HBO show but my true passion is to be yelled at in a bar."

After the election of Donald Trump, who has claimed he will ban all Muslims from entering the US and has given statements against immigrants and Mexicans, as President of the United States of America, there have been an increase in reports of people of color, Muslims and immigrants being harassed. Supporters of Hillary Clinton have also been carrying out demonstrations against the election of Donald Trump across many cities in the US, some even turning a little violent.
