After weeks of speculation the new army chief has finally been revealed to all. While the widely beloved General Raheel Sharif bid his farewell, many were waiting anxiously for the new army chief’s announcement so drawing rooms around the country could analyze the next move that the country will take.
Well, finally, Lt. General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been announced as the next army chief. Lt. General Qamar had been serving at the GHQ as Inspector General of Training and Evaluation and has now been elevated to a four-star general rank with his appointment.
Pakistanis, obviously, can’t help being analytical about this appointment and here’s what the country’s thinking:
There are folks welcoming him to his new job
