As we all know, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar have been paying their dues behind the bars of Adiala Jail for the past couple of months.
However, in a turn of events, the Islamabad High Court has ruled in favour of suspending their sentence.
Major development in #Pakistani #Politics#IslamabadHighCourt suspends #NawazSharif #MaryamNawaz & Captin Safdar’s punishment. They would be set free on bail.
Interesting times.

Now before things go out of hand, this basically means that they have suspended the decision, which means that it hasn’t yet been overturned but the decision from the accountability court (sending them to jail) will not apply until their appeal is heard and a decision on that appeal is given.
In essence, the three of them can virtually walk out of jail at the moment, yet may have to go back if the appeal is not given.
The three of them were recently granted leave from their sentences to attend the funeral of Kulsoom Nawaz, Nawaz’s late wife, which many people did not approve of.
And now, with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s current trip to Saudi Arabia, many are speculating that Imran could be there to possibly accept the Saudi demands of releasing Nawaz Sharif from jail. Of course, this is just speculation.
Either way, Pakistanis have a lot to say on the suspension at hand.
Many of his supporters, cannot help but rejoice.
