Everyone knows a dramaybaaz. You’ve probably been a dramaybaaz at some point in your life, too. However, when your best friend is a dramaybaaz, it’s just a whole new challenge altogether. Being that close to someone who’s pro-drama ensures you a front row ticket to what goes on in their life.
If your best friend is a dramay ki dukaan, you’ll probably be able to relate to the following:
1. The dramaybaaz bestie ka drama is never-ending
Dramay ko kabhi neend nahi aati. You know there’s no escaping the drama. Once you’re in, all that can release you from the clutches of the world of drama is the sweet embrace of death. Or, like, if your dosti doesn’t work out. There’s always that, too.
2. Your best friend’s complaints about being involved in all that drama are also never-ending
Not only do you have to be actively involved in your best friend’s drama-filled life, you also have to sit back and listen to them complain about everything that happens. You probably have to listen to detailed analyses about various situations as well. There’s no stop button.
3. You don’t quite remember signing up for the dramaybaaz ka fazool drama, but are somehow dragged in all the time
Sometimes, you’ll rack your brain really hard, trying to think of the exact date and time where you agreed to be a part of all the drama. You don’t quite remember how you got sucked into it, but you’re in way too deep to leave.
4. Second-hand drama from a dramaybaaz is a very real phenomenon
If you think you can avoid drama making its way towards you while being involved with a dramaybaaz, you’re dead wrong. You don’t find drama, Drama finds you. It trickles into your life slowly and surfaces from time to time.
5. You’ve probably had to step in at some points to defend your dramaybaaz best friend because of the shit they’ve landed themselves into
Having a dramatic AF best friend means that you’ll probably have to double as a bodyguard at some point. Your best friend probably doesn’t have a really great grasp on things, which means you have to step in for protective purposes.
6. You have to deal with all their dramaybaaz rants and outbursts
Fun fact: drama is almost always synonymous with rona dhona and whining, which is probably what you have to deal with most of the time. Fun, right?
7. Luckily for you, all these dramaybaaz rants and outbursts only happen every single minute of every single day
So. Many. Rants. All the frikking time.
8. You never have to fear being left out of the loop, even if you may desperately want to be left out in the first place because your friend shares EVERYTHING
Worrying about being left out of the loop is a foreign concept to you. The minute something happens, you will most definitely be notified. That’s just how things roll.
9. You probably deserve an award for tolerating your dramaybaaz best friend
You don’t know how you do it, but you manage to keep calm in the face of all drama. It’s not easy. It is, by all means, a struggle like no other. Sometimes, you can’t help but feel like you deserve to be lauded for your efforts.
10. You’re always up-to-date with all the latest gossip, even if you may not want to be
Don’t want to know about the most recent thing that happened in your social circle? Well, too bad. You’ll find out anyway, thanks to your best friend who lives for gossip and basically anything remotely drama-related.
11. There’s a list of people you’re at war with, simply because your dramaybaaz best friend is at war with them
Drama and cold wars go hand-in-hand. You can’t have drama without people being pissed at each other and being petty about it. And if your bestie’s at war with someone, you’re automatically at war with them too.
12. You’ve probably tried (and failed at) reasoning with your dramaybaaz best friend at some point because of how sick you’ve become of all the drama
You’ve tried your best to make them see the light. You’ve explained that dramay main kuch nahi rakha hai. However, this hasn’t worked at all and you’re pretty much still in the same situation.
13. At the end of the day, you know that no matter how sick you get of all the drama, you’ll always have your dramayabaaz best friend’s back
Because deep down, you don’t always mind the drama either. Besides, it’s your best friend. What’s theirs is yours. Including drama.
Aakhir jitna bhi drama ho, friendship comes first. You know that kuch bhi hojaye, even if you get a call at 4 am, you’ll make it a point to be there for your best friend. Because, unfortunately, that’s just how much you love them. Is your best friend a drama ki dukaan? Has it landed you guys in any trouble? Comment below and let us know.
