I Played A Drinking Game With My Friends Abroad And Shit Got Awkward REALLY Fast

By Aam Nawab | 5 Jan, 2019

If you’re a Pakistani and you’ve played “never have I ever”, then err I’d wanna know how you got through this low key mortifying drinking game. I saw this game in a movie once, when Deepika felt super uncool because she didn’t even sip ONCE. I didn’t pay much attention to it, until one day I had to play this game, with my friends in order to avoid being a party pooper.

If you’re from a different culture and have different beliefs, it’s very likely that this game will have you feeling super awkward by the time it ends.

So if you don’t know already, alcohol is involved in this game. However, I have extremely understanding friends who automatically put a glass of water in front of me before I even said so. Co-existence, see?

Anyway, the game started off with super cool questions. Such as, have you ever been involved in cheating on a test?

Hell to the yeah, man. Of course. I mean, who doesn’t cheat on a test? Now please don’t say that “oooh main cheating karti nahi, karati thi” because that’s cheating too.

Khair, it all started off pretty tame, you know? Further on, there were questions like have you ever done something wrong at work and blamed it on someone else, have you ever tried a cigarette, have you ever said I love you to someone?

See… all cute little questions. I was doing absolutely fine!

Moving on, people got tired with making up questions by themselves so we decided to download an app.

BIG MISTAKE, Y’ALL.

Apparently, the app had levels ranging from PG to adult, and obviously, mid-20-year-olds chose the adult category. That’s when shit got awkward.

It started off with “have you ever made out with someone,” and escalated to “have you ever had sex” which is stuff you can quietly not sip to if you didn’t want to, and that’s okay.

The questions that came next not only made me super awkward but also added to my limited vocabulary because DUDE, I DIDN’T KNOW THIS STUFF!

“Have you ever had sex with your family being around the same house?”

“Have you ever done it in public?”

“Have you ever walked down the street with nothing on?”

“Have you ever tossed salad?”

Suffice to say, I didn’t get a lot of drinking done. Moreover, I had to pause the game because I didn’t know what tossing salad meant, and then I regretted asking… Yeah go on, Google it.

It’s…it’s not as tame as this picture. Trust me. You’re about to be scarred, unless you’re into that. I don’t know, I’m not judging.

Furthermore, there were questions like have you done the walk of shame? I mean, I don’t know guys. The only walk of shame that we do is the one back to our rooms after being jharrofied by our desi parents.

The one and only question that put me off food for the rest of the evening was: have you ever tasted anyone’s bodily fluids?

Kinda found it hard to eat or drink after that.

After that I pretty much called it a night. There’s only so much I can stomach, ya know? It was interesting and all, but it just isn’t for me. I think I’ll pass. It was super awkward, most of my friends had to pee by the end of the night and a lot of them were unmanageable by the end of the game, too. So yeah. Probably won’t be doing that again. I mean, to each their own, but I guess it wasn’t for me.

Did I get a ton of info about my friends, though? Hell yeah. It’s all gold, too. It’s funny how much conforming to the rules of a simple drinking game can reveal.

Khair, do you have any awkward experiences with this game? If yes, let us know in the comments section.
