After the claims made by the US federal authorities that the San Bernardino shooters were a Muslim couple with Tashfeen Malik even being revealed as a Pakistani, much has been speculated about the fate of the Muslims in America after this incident, especially regarding those of Pakistani origin.

However, something interesting happened when this Pakistani-American Muslim woman got in an accident in the US, recently
Zanub Rizvi is a married mother of Pakistani origin who lives in the suburbs near Atlanta, Georgia. She got into an accident when a car slammed into her from behind as she was driving to an event with her daughter and mother-in-law.

She feared that with the current situation in the US she will be dealt with suspicion by the Police
Zainub stated that they were dressed to go to a religious gathering and her mother-in-law was even dressed in “full Islamic headscarf”. This, coupled with the sentiment that the media has propogated about growing tensions, made her become fearful that when the policemen came they will think the accident was Zainub’s fault and treat her badly.

Not only did the policemen treat her kindly because she, her daughter and mother-in-law were visibly shaken by the accident. They took permission from the women before touching them, considering they were Muslims, to check if they had any injuries that needed to be treated by a doctor.
The policemen even escorted them safely to their home and kept on making sure that the women were comfortable, safe and treated well.

This proves that the world is not as bad as the mainstream media makes it out to be. People are still much more kinder, more loving and more accepting than you think. This is because everyone, not just Sunnis but also Christians, Shias, Hindus, Ahmedis, Jews and EVERYONE else, prefers a world where they can live in peace, instead of a world where everyone always fears for their life all the time.

The hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv has been trending all over the world after a man, in a London metro train station, who stabbed a Londoner by shouting “this is for Syria”, was ridiculed right there by people who shouted “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv”.
This message of positivity and acceptance of these actions having nothing to do with the religion of Islam has resonated with the whole world.
