11 Things That Make Mira Sethi A Lot More Than Just Another Pakistani Actress

By Sarah Babar | 28 Jan, 2017

Mira Sethi is one of the most underrated actresses of our time. She’s a beauty with brains, down to the last T. Apart from being super educated, she’s also extremely extremely talented. We all see her in dramas and ads, every now and then, but there’s so much more to her than meets the eye.

Here are a few things you might not know about this writer-turned-actor, but they’ll tell you that she’s here to stay, for sure:

1. Mira speaks fluent Punjabi

She’s as desi as it gets, in spite of having spent a chunk of her life abroad.

2. She’s healthy AF

And she can do REAL push-ups. To be honest, I’ve not seen many men do this, either.

3. She was the Commencement speaker at her graduation from Wellesley College

Wellesley College is one of the most prestigious all-girls college and the third-best liberal arts college in the USA. Mira was the commencement speaker at her graduation ceremony, becoming the first Pakistani to have this honor.

4. She also spent a year at Oxford University

Oxford University is a popular higher educational institution among desis, because we’ve all heard the ‘Shakoor Uncle ka beta ja sakta hai tau mera kiun nahi’ tantrum and we also know just how hard it is to get in. Well, Mira did.

7. She recently secured a global book deal:

And not just any publishing house, the giants, Knopf and Bloomsbury, themselves. The book, a compilation of short stories, will be out in 2018.

8. She’s crazy enough to make you fall in love with her

And a bit of a nerd, but we’re not complaining, she’s the right kind of nerd.

9. She’s in better shape than your trainer at the gym

And that builder dost you have.

10. She has a great sense of humour

And she doesn’t even spare her own dad.

11. Oh and did we mention her killer abs?

Just. Look. At. Them.

Mira, you slay!
