Maryam Nawaz is allegedly in support of Khadim Rizvi based on what her social media activity suggests
People are up in arms against Maryam Nawaz for her recent activities on social media
Maryam Nawaz Sharif is being called out on social media for liking the tweet of Khaddim Rizvi, leader of Islamic Political Party, Tehreek-e-Labbaik.
Following the decision of the Supreme Court to pardon Aasia Bibi from accusations of blasphemy, the whole country has been on high alert due to life-threatening protests being carried out by Tehreek-e-Labbaik.
Khaddim Rizvi, the leader and forerunner of the mayhem has officially announced a countrywide strike on anyone who believes that Aasia was falsely accused.
And though seeing who was on which side of the strike seemed easy at first, seeing Maryam possibly in support of a message of Rizvi is causing people all over social media to question the alliances in our nation right now.
Shahbaz Taseer began a thread with the focus being on a screenshot he took of Maryam liking Rizvi’s tweet. He called her and the rest of her party out for disgracing the name of Pakistan, Islam and the fight for justice.

Users even questioned the authenticity of the tweet to which Shahbaz confirmed the source.
Since then, others have begun to notice the tweet and are also questioning the loyalties of significant political personalities in this country.

People are even bringing up past instances of alleged support to such leaders.

The tweet has since been un-liked off of Maryam’s Twitter, however, the initial act itself is being held against Sharif and will probably continue to be so, until a statement is made.
Now, to be fair, sometimes some people can either ‘accidentally’ like something on social media (you know you’ve all been there) or they may want to keep a note of it, sort of a social media version of a bookmark – even though there is the actual option to bookmark a tweet – so it could possibly have meant she didn’t actually ‘like’ Khadim Rizvi’s message but what can you say? Maybe she did.
