Do you ever have one of those days where things are going okay? It’s just a normal day. Nothing too exceptional. There’s not much to complain about except the heat or the sad state of political affairs (which is kind of an everyday thing tbh.) And then something happens that makes you completely flip your shit (in a good way)? Maybeeee something like along the lines of the two people you fan girl/boy over, coming together for a brief momentary exchange over Twitter?
Imagine if those two people are Elon Musk and Malala.
Yes.
Elon Musk.
Malala.
I don’t know about you, but if you haven’t been able to tell by my inability to get to the point, I’m definitely flipping my shit.
Hey Malala, you wonderful brilliant woman.
Hey Elon, you brilliant man who sometimes loses his shit over what the media says about him.
If you’ve made it so far into this article, it’s because you, too, appreciate both Malala and Elon. And you might be able to understand my excitement…
Just to provide you with a bit of context.
Lately, Elon Musk has pretty much been rampaging against media outlets, in a fashion very much in tune with Trump’s rhetoric of fake news. It stemmed from an increasing number of negative reports about Tesla’s working conditions mixed with the not-so-great financial health of the company.
One thing led to another. Elon got really mad and decided that he will start another company (as if he doesn’t have enough on his plate already).
Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda …

Aaaaand as a result, multiple folks from media outlets started trolling Elon (because why not?). One of this outlets was Clickhole, which is a satirical site owned by the Onion. That’s where Malala came in.

Here’s her reaction to the satirical news. Taking it like a champ. LOL.
Hello from the other side 😳 @elonmusk https://t.co/pRTnyptZ1N

So the biggest takeaway here isn’t that Elon Musk, despite being one of the most iconic individuals of the 21st century (right up there with Steve Jobs,) has trouble dealing with a bit of criticism. Oh no, the takeaway, friends, is that Malala is a true sport who knows how to take a joke or two like a BOSS.
The best part is – Elon chimed in and played along.
That ghost emoji, though. LMAO.
Hi @Malala! 💕👻😅

And, of course, queen Malala responded.
I’m keeping the car btw! 😉🚘
