Mahira Khan was honored with an award for Contribution to Film and Activism at the prestigious annual 20th UK Asian Film Festival in London. The actress adoringly accepted the award before giving a heartfelt speech dedicated to someone very special.
Mahira, upon accepting the accolade and said “I always ask my son, ‘what do you think I should say, should I say thank you?’ To which he’d say ‘please, don’t thank me”
The actress cheekily went on to say, “So I hope someone’s recording this, this one’s for you Azlan.”
The actress was also invited to talk about her achievements, dreams, and goals
“I had two dreams when I was going up. One, I wanted to get married -it’s true, I was ten years old and I was like mene shaadi karni hai…and also Shah Rukh Khan ke saath film karni hai…and I did both.”
