Pakistan Super League (PSL) is underway with full zor o shor and the first team to have made their exit is Lahore Qalandars. Lahore couldn’t qualify for the playoffs last season either and it doesn’t get any less heartbreaking. Especially since the owner, Fawad Rana was the cutest thing to ever have happened to Pakistani cricket (right after Inzi Bhai, that is). I don’t even want to know how heartbroken he must have been. Lahore’s qualification for the playoffs depended on Karachi Kings losing their match against Islamabad United, which they didn’t. And Lahore, who had slid down from the 2nd position on the table to the 5th, had to bid their PSL dreams goodbye. Needless to say, desi Twitter pretty much lost its shit. Some people regretted supporting the team, most were bashing on it, and then some were just sad.
