Amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, an Indian ‘journalist’ placed the focus on Pakistani actors working in India by penning an open letter addressed to Fawad Khan.

As expected, there was a huge outpouring of support. For the journalist’s opinion, as well as in favor of Fawad Khan, from either side of the Wagah.

Many Indians decided to step up and call out the open letter for making a mockery out of diplomatic affairs

On September 23 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, a regional political party headquartered in Mumbai, gave an ultimatum to Pakistanis working in Bollywood to leave the country within 48 hours.

Karan Johar decided to make a statement in support of Fawad Khan who stars in Karan’s forthcoming ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘, last night

In a talk show moderated by esteemed Indian journalist Barkha Dutt, Karan Johar came out in support of Pakistani actors working in Bollywood by saying that banning actors from Pakistan will not solve any problems, for India.

Upon this statement by Karan, Indians have come alive with their reactions and this is what they’ve been saying:

As expected, some have even stooped low enough to call him out on his sexuality

Pakistanis on Twitter, on the other hand, are elated

While adults are trying to resolve issues amicably, this is what the haters are up to

MNS, the party that issued an ultimatum, has just stated that their 48 hour deadline is over and now they’re planning their next step.

What do you think about artistes from either side of the border, being forced to give up art for the sake of political blame game?
