Kangana was recently asked about the reinstated ban on Pakistani artists in Bollywood

It’s the same band that caused a truckload of issues when Karan Johar’s “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” was slated to release with Fawad Khan

Where the MNS asked for his roles to be cut out of the film, altogether, to which Karan Johar took a stand against, which caused even more trouble for Dharma as a company

Again with the Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira starrer “Raees”

Mahira wasn’t allowed to promote the film alongside her colleagues and costars in the film, in India

With Sajal Aly, Adnan Siddiqui and Sridevi’s “Mom”, the situation was the exact same

While there are a lot of artists from Bollywood who have been opposing the ban, asking people to let the artists be in peace

Like Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan who are always up for blurring the borders between artists from the two countries

Kangana strongly stood by the ban, on the basis of the fact that she is a nationalist

Kangana said that when you’re talking about the borders between Pakistan and India, and when you’re talking about physical boundaries, you can’t isolate that from the Indian entertainment industry. That people and soldiers are losing lives and that the country is in a vulnerable state, where people are struggling and trying to cope with emotions, that is the point in time where people are talking about the ban on Pakistani artists. She said that how people say “‘hum tau artist hain’, what do we have to do with it?” is not going to cut it. That before being an artist, you are an Indian, and when you are talking about boundaries, you can’t be esoteric about it and you can’t justify anything by saying you’re an artist.

John Abraham also had his two cents to give to the conversation

John shared a similar perspective wherein he said that while he cannot enforce his opinions on anyone, and he can only speak for himself, he said it was important that they express solidarity with the country and her soldiers who are at the forefront of protecting any country.
