I also urge parents & teachers to educate children & embolden them to report & resist predatory sexual advances— Dr. Arif Alvi (@ArifAlvi) January 10, 2018
In a society where criminals rule the law we have to take very very special care of our children and do not leave them alone. #JusticeForZainabpic.twitter.com/VM2MzIb06w

Investigative journalist, Iqrar ul Hassan, said he’s on his way to Kasur to find out more about the incident
Not a very good morning… couldn't sleep because of these images… on my way to Kasur !! #JusticeForZainab pic.twitter.com/LFoYLstxgf

We, as responsible citizens, need to stop being passive and play an active part in pushing for justice

This is a highly shameful incident and a proof how unsafe children are in this country. Let us push our policy makers to fight and debate about getting actual issues solved instead of indulging in judicial wars. Let us hold them accountable for not making the streets safe, for letting education and health sector deteriorate, and for allowing the brutal abuse of the children of our nation because they protect these goons.
One user has aptly pointed out the reason why this brutality easily took place in the streets of Kasur
Had we punished the rapists of Qasur, we could have saved Zainab today. Every crime commited here is elevated by this crook & murderer @CMShehbaz who is in power for last 30 years.#JusticeForZainab

One of the harshest realities of our society is the inaction of the authorities.
Not very long ago, the Kasur child sexual abuse scandal came to the forefront and created outrage among the masses
This was the push to call for the authorities who were sitting nonchalant despite the mass abuse going on in the area. Video clips were found showing children being forced to perform sexual acts.

However, due to the cover-up provided by influentials to these culprits, they are still not behind bars.
The families of the victims addressed a press conference just last month in Lahore. The families, disappointed by the legal system, threatened to self-immolate if no action was taken against the injustices.
U can raise voice on the symptoms of injustice as much as u want but these things will never stop unless we have an independent system which treats every1 equally.Stop voting for infrastructure or emtional blackmail and demand an assurance of justice to every1. #JusticeForZainab

The reason why such an incident casually took place in Kasur proves that these predators are still out there. They fear no one. Had these activities been put a stop to, this would not have happened. It is about time that comes to an end. The lack of precedence set in the case allows them to threaten families seeking justice. All of these people must be answerable to the rule of law and to the people of Pakistan.
