Junaid Jamshed has been a legend for multiple generations, and for all times to come. While his words have been immortalized within his work, there is still a gaping hole that keeps growing bigger as time goes on. People have paid tribute to him in every way they thought was possible. He has been an icon for children, a role model for adults, and a legacy that can’t be tainted. Moreover today, on the 14th of August, we feel his loss even more, with little children singing Dil Dil Pakistan, and the unofficial national anthem of Pakistan being played over and over again, throughout the day. Junaid Jamshed and his melodies, be it Dil Dil Pakistan, Yeh Zameen, or Maula, have always invoked a sense of patriotism within us.
And now that he is no longer with us, to give even more meaning to our Independence Day we found something that might just do the trick
A video recently surfaced on Twitter, where Junaid Jamshed is singing Dil Dil Pakistan at the NED University in Karachi.

People were overwhelmed at this video because nobody woke up expecting to see this
Not that anyone is complaining at the unearthing of a literal gem…
Like this guy who speaks the truth…
Others expressed grief at missing out on this day
While others admitted they missed Junaid Jamshed
With little prayers coming out from our hearts
…always and forever
Aameen
While we’re mourning the loss of industry greats the likes of Amjad Sabri, Junaid Jamshed, and Aamir Zaki, we need to learn how to celebrate their work and lives, as well. We leave this video with you for you to watch and feel a little more patriotic today.
