Yesterday was a whirlwind of emotions for Pakistanis. It was a pretty solid win, (thankfully), and after a somewhat bipolar match the other day against Sri Lanka. Not only did we beat ENGLAND, but we kind of beat them on home turf (Cardiff). And in good humor, Pakistanis stormed online exuding witty banter around the colonizers losing on a game THEY brought to India (awks).
Sarfraz being mocked for not speaking English during a press conference the day before had its comeuppance, and many were quick to retaliate
They made fun of your english and you make fun of the whole english. ? Pakistan Zindabad. ??

I mean, we DID just beat the English at their own sport…
It was a fun day to gloat and boast a jubilant victory.

As was home gal Fatima Bhutto who couldn’t contain her excitement
Ahhhhh!!! ?????
— fatima bhutto (@fbhutto) June 14, 2017
And Jemima Khan quickly responded to Fatima’s tweet, saying how she had no idea she was a cricket fan
This is all of us calling out every friend who becomes a cricket fan every time Pakistan has a big match.
Since when were YOU a cricket nut?!

First of all, we’re so pleasantly surprised they’re such great friends because Fatima quickly responded to Jemima
You’d think with their somewhat particular political affiliations, they’d be sworn enemies…
I go bananas on international Pakistan matches.

But both gals are clearly good friends, having a sweet little dialogue, both celebrating the wonderful win
Not county matches and things like that

And we knew that Jemima’s loyalties lie with Pakistan, but it’s still always wonderful to see her support Pakistan. Jemima is love.
