I Just Watched The First Episode Of ‘Champions With Waqar Zaka'

Known for his reality shows and the ‘daredevil’ that Waqar Zaka is, he has finally brought his own version of Bigg Boss to Pakistan, after all the hype. The first episode of ‘Champions With Waqar Zaka’ just aired and well, brace yourself for a TON of drama.

The episode started with Waqar Zaka interacting with the audience and declaring himself the ‘king’ of the show.

‘Duniya mein tumhay rules follow kernay kay liye kaha jaata hai, yahan rules mujhay follow kertay hain.’

He told everyone that the point of this whole show is to be real, and to be true to yourself – and in case anyone cannot handle being real because of their family or societal pressure, they might as well leave right then, “Uthou aur niklou.” To reach to Rs. 1 crore, people first have to face Waqar Zaka.

The episode, needless to say, was full of drama. Waqar Zaka, unimpressed by a contestant, offered to select him, provided he stayed in this position for one minute straight:

Waqar then pit two contestants against each other and things got a little volatile.

After a chilli contest between the two – Yahya and Abdul Waheed, Waqar Zaka then handed over the selection card to Abdul Waheed and congratulated him. He then asked him to read the name on the card which said ‘Yahya.’ And so, Abdul Waheed was humiliated, and handed over the card to Yahya.

Matlab full theatrics wala scene.

And then, the episode just took a pretty WTF turn when a guy voluntarily wanted to put a snake in his nose and take it out from his mouth.

I mean…sure, that definitely takes guts, so kudos, I guess?

Waqar Zaka also specially instructed him to NOT let even one tear down, or else he won’t be selected, even if he performs the task successfully – which he didn’t.

Then, Waqar asked another contestant to convince someone else to eat 10 laal mirch and after a lot of persuasion, the cameraman legit did – just for the sake of this contestant’s selection, who he probably didn’t even know.

Waqar then blamed the contestant for being so selfish that she actually asked someone else to take the bullet for her selection. And, at this point, I am sure everyone was like, “Bhai yeh ho kya raha hai?’

But, I was invested, not going to lie.

Keeping all this in mind, the first episode ended on a cliffhanger, where the last contestant for the show was being ‘interrogated’ about the possible reasons for his breakup.

At the time this article was being written, the episode was trending on number one on YouTube which is INSANE. It’s a 50-minute episode. That’s got to be a huge feat. The man knows how to make viral content. Credit where credit is due.
