Humna Raza using her influence for good is heartwarming. 

You might already be familiar with Humna Raza. She happens to be one of the most popular social media influencers in Pakistan with a massive following on Instagram. Her usual posts try to inspire positivity within her followers and she uses her platform as an influencer to put smiles on peoples’ faces.

But recently, Humna’s Instagram stories were a little different from her usual ones. Instead of a bubbly Humna, a sober looking Humna Raza addressed her audience, it was an appeal for people to help her.

Humna explained, that a patient had been shot in her neck and had been admitted to the hospital she is working at and she was helping save the patient’s life

The woman was from Waziristan and had been shot while trying to intervene in an argument between her family members.

The woman’s neck had suffered a huge amount of damage and two surgeries the medical staff had attempted had already failed.

Her family was not well off and the hospital stay itself cost PKR 15,000 a night and the numerous surgeries the woman would require were drawing up a hefty amount which the family could not possibly manage.

Humna explained that she and her colleagues had been doing as much as they could but now they needed everyone’s help.

Humna’s aim was four lakh rupees, and in two days she had managed to raise two and a half lakh rupees

In a week, Humna had reached her goal of 4 lakhs thanks to her followers. She was asking her followers to donate as much as they could afford to so that they could help with the woman’s medical expenses.

The surgeries the woman required were intricate and required a maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Uzair Luqman and his team which includes Humna Raza, were working to ensure they got her the best care possible and they were thankful to all of Humna’s followers who helped with the finances to make that possible.

She was in a minor surgery the very next day which was successful. The team is hopeful that she will make a quick recovery and her prognosis looks good! She is still at the hospital under the care of Dr. Luqman and his efficient team.
